View Full Version : New (kinda), and already could use help!
Yo! I've been helped before by some of you concerning anti-aliasing! (I'm the guy from Texas, for those who might remember) Anyhoo, I now exist as Pawz, and my artist name is HitmanTL. Now that I have this groovy account, I made an ID picture to accompany my posts. The thing is, it's surrounded by a transparent background, but it still has the original white anti-aliasing on the edges! EGAD! When I tested it, well shoot, I'll check to use it so you can see waht I mean. See? It has a white fuzz all 'round it! I've typed enough, but on a side question, how do I make it let me use larger than 60x60 pixel gifs? I've seen others do it. Thanx to all who might help!-Pawz (the guy with the first impression of 'he who dwarfs the U.S. Constitution when writing posts')
... The @#$! white fuzz is still there! ARGHHH! Phooey on the fuzz! Oh, many talented artists, please contribute thy immortal wisdom of the field to such a soul, a soul spiraling down the realm of... of... not-very-goodliness!-Pawz

what i usually do is take an image like that, and either A. Go all the way around it and color in all the grey spots or areas that you don't want to be grey/white fuzzy and color them all in one color, then paint it a color that exists nowhere in your art, like
ight green, then make it transparent. That's about it. It should work.
That's swell... I'll work on sumthin tonight. By tomarrow I'll probably have something ready! Lemme see what I can whip up...
Lemme try this, I found out what color the "lighter" table row is made of, and I used it to anti-alias with my border. Now, if my pic falls on a lighter row, it'll be perfect. If it falls on the "darker" row, you should not be able to see it. I you don't understand a THING I'm talking about, rest asured that I spent too much time on this. It'll be worth it, though, if it works. Here goes... Arghh! Wait a sec... that sould do it (I'm probably going to edit this post about 60 times) Edited by: Pawz at: 3/6/01 3:24:40 am
One... more... try! YEEAAAAHHH!!! Whooooeee! I done did it! Thanx a load! You can kinda see some flaws, but ya gotta look close... Now, I'm going to try it on the "other" color... Edited by: Pawz at: 3/6/01 3:43:11 am
Oops, furgot to close the italics above... oh well, let's try this one... YEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!! Safijaha, thanks a load. I shall apply this wonderful knowledge to much art in the future! Edited by: Pawz at: 3/6/01 3:41:49 am
