I have another favourite song found in mi mind but i don't know the name: it's in the second film at the moment where kovu came to the rock to meet simba and explain what really happens. There came the song in which he get simbas decision!and so kovu must go away or he must die.kiara was very disappointed at this moment! and she wants to go to Kovu. It's not the love song of them!

Dark_lion
28.07.2006, 16:36
When Simba exile him.
I dont know, but I know when is that song

Kirauni
28.07.2006, 18:55
Yes the song is called "one of us". An in German it's "Verbannung" what means something like "banishment" or "exile".

When I was back at school I really liked that song. I somehow felt realted to Kovu because I knew the feeling of not being part of something.
I knew how it was to be called and outsider.
Fortunately, things have changed and those times are over now :)
This also shows how much my personal feelings are related to songs of the Lion King movies.

The Sonic God
31.07.2006, 08:25
Interesting what they had to do to make German lyrics. In German, I don't think you can say "One of us," because it is an idiom, so you'd have to say "A part of us." Of course, in German, this doesn't rhyme nor does it sound good. lol But omniscient Disney found a way. The word "Exiled" or "Banned" in German is "Verbannung." Somehow, they made a song from that.

Maybe it's just me, but I like "Der Ewige Kreis" more than I do "Circle of Life."

Earwig? Nuuuuh... sounds nothing like that. Using English phonetics, it sounds like "Dayr Ay-vihguh Krais"

Or are you just jerking my chain? lol

Also, I listen to a lot of foreign music. German, obviously, but I listen to Danish and Finnish, too. ^^ I also sometimes listen to Swahili and Zulu.

"Black Eyes Peas," with the S in Peas sounding like a soft Z.

Eminem gets lucky once in a while, his music is okay. (Eminem is the word derived from the mispronunciation of the popular candy, "M&M's.") So is Kid Rock.

eminem used to be good, in my opinion. his first two albums are phenominal (slim shady lp and marshal mathers lp) after that he went down the pan.

I don't know if you guys do this, but I seem to really enjoy music from other countries and in other languages. The three top languages other than English in my iTunes player are German, Danish, and Finnish. A little reminder that there are a lot of talented artists in this world that make music in languages other than English.

If possible, I look up the translation to the lyrics and/or attempt to sing with it whether or not that I understand it. I speak better German than Danish or Finnish, though. lol
