Bob Barker (http://imdb.com/name/nm0054837/), host of "The New Price is Right," for over 35 years, and professional game show host dating back to the show "Truth or Consequences," entertaining us for 50 years in our homes, had his final episode of The Price is Right air today. It was a fantastic show, ending with one lady winning over $140,000 in prizes. The show will air again tonight.

Born on December 12, 1923, Bob has amazed us all for staying with us as long as he did, entertaining us everyday with his amazing charisma and unique humour. Now successfully retired, and I assume he's quite happy, I wonder what he'll do next.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish to personally and professionally thank Mr. Bob Barker for entertaining me through my life for the last 26 years, and America (and even our Canadian friends) for the last 50 years. There is no one else in the world quite like you!

Comments, please!

I've seen snippets of him sometimes, but to be frank American game show hosts mean nothing outside of America a lot of the time.

We have a lot of the game shows America has and vice versa, but obviously our shows are hosted by well-known British presenters.

Take for example, Bruce Forsyth OBE (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0287028/) who did the UK version of Price is Right amongst a lot of other things, and more than likely has led as much of an amazing, and entertaining career as Mr. Barker. Brucey is still chugging along though after 52yrs on the screen!

However, I'd be hugely impressed if you've heard of him?

So it's all well and good and, dare I say, fantastic, but it means little outside of the US...

People who can output and output mean one thing:

They love their jobs.
